Before leaving work to raise my family, I was Clerk to a Governing Body in a small independent school and was pleased to be able to join the Infant School Governing Body in November 2011, when my son started in Reception. Since then, my daughter has now also started at Rise Park Infants.
I became a Trustee and Director in 2014, when we received permission to bring the two schools together under the Rise Park Academy Trust. I enjoy working closely with the rest of the
Directors and Governors to support both the Infant and Junior Schools to become outstanding.

As a former Governor of the Junior School, I became a Director of the Rise Park Academy Trust in September 2014, and a Trustee in September 2015.
I am originally from Bow in the East End of London. My wife and I have three children and eight grandchildren.
I worked in the electrical engineering industry, although I am now retired. I have been a Chair or Member of the Pettit's Safer Neighbourhood Panel for several years and I am also actively involved in a local Boys Junior Football Club, as well as being a league official for more than twenty years.
Mr Justin Barrett
I have been the Business Manager at Redden Court since January 2012. In that time I have overseen the budget management of the school in a climate of financial austerity and ensured budgets have balanced and the school has lived within its means. I have been instrumental in securing contracts and goods and services at best possible value and ensured that services within the school enhance the experience of students and provide value. I have delivered projects that have improved efficiency. These include bringing schools together to develop a cover pool of staff, procuring a print management solution, and development of a Bring Your Own Device project thereby reducing ICT costs to the school and enhancing the learning environment to students. As a member of SLT I ensure that any development plans are considered in the context of available budget and hold colleagues to account for spending within agreed budgets. I report to Trustees on a regular basis and I very much hope that my contribution is respected. The role has changed significantly in recent times as I now lead a centralised team for the Success for All Educational Trust and have strategic responsibility for the development of the team. I am also Company Secretary for the Trust.
I am an HR professional that has worked within HR teams for over 20 years within the public and charitable sector with an emphasis on learning and development, employee relations and recruitment. I have delivered a number of restructures within this time which has supported financial and operational efficiency.
I have been a director of a charitable, organisation called Charity Works that provides work placements for graduates within the charity sector.
I have only recently resigned my position as chair of the Local Government Pension Scheme Pension Board in Havering as an employer representative where I was instrumental in the development of the board from its inception.
I was chair of Governors at Rise Park Infant School for 10 years and have considerable experience as a school governor. I was observer for the IEB that was set up when Rise Park Junior School was placed in special measures and I was instrumental in the set up of the Rise Park Academy Trust where I supported the Academy conversion of the Infant school and sponsorship of the Junior school.
I was a member of the Interim Executive Board for Sanders school when the existing Governing Body was disbanded and supported them through an Ofsted inspection and conversion to Academy status.
This experience has supported my development within the educational sector and helped me to support the Redden Court School leadership convert the company to a Multi Academy Trust and support the conversion of The Royal Liberty School and Sanders School into the Trust.
